Three Named as Finalists for Young Sports Star Prize

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Athlete of the Year award.
The trio have been honoured for their outstanding achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The finalists were unveiled on a widely-listened-to radio show.
The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December.
The event will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.
Michelle Agyemang

Just three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She entered the fray to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
These match-saving moments led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"To be named a finalist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

The year started for Littler in spectacular fashion as - at just 17 years old - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
And he wasn't finished there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record.
"To receive a nomination for this award again is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and surged to prominence with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin finished second in the season's run tally and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
"I'm deeply humbled to be shortlisted for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it motivates more young women to get into cricket."
